Kanto Region is in the east of Honshu and the largest plain ‘Kanto Plain’ is in the center, northwestern part is mountainous area while facing the Pacific Ocean is the southeast part. Tokyo, the capital city is in Kanto. It is the political and economic center of Japan, one third of Japanese population gather here, which makes it huge metropolitan area. Tokyo is the basic place of the public transport to the various parts of Japan, all local transportation networks of North and East Japan in particular uses Tokyo as their terminals. Narita Airport, located in suburb of Tokyo is the terminal of international airlines and Haneda Airport for domestic airlines and some international airlines.
