The torii which was buried in the roadside of the Sakurajima east shoreline.
In the big eruption of 1914, eight villages of Sakurajima were buried by the lava,
and 687 families in the Kurogami area were also buried.
Only the upper part on the torii of 3m in height gives a brain from the surface of the earth
and tells you about horror of the eruption of the volcano.
Access and Getting Around
18 km from Sakurajima Port for 25 minutes.
