Ropeway Station is in the middle toward the Sukayu hot spring from the Aomori city
and it is a large panorama to be able to look around from mountaintop Station observatory to the Gulf of Mutsu.
There are the hiking course in colored leaves,and it is a popular skiing area in Aomori
becase deep snow ski of the winter rime on trees, a backcountry and various slopes.
The rime on trees of the winter skiing area is wonderful.
The Mount Hakkoda area is also a charming area where hot spring hotels are here and there in the forest,
which attracts hot spring enthusiasts very much.
Yet, the road is closed to traffic through Lake Towada in winter for and for this reason, some hotels are closed, too.
Access and Getting Around
By bus
1 hour from Aomori Station to Ropeway Sanroku Station for Suka-yu and Lake Towada with5 bus services per day.
50 minutes from Shin Aomori Station with three bus services per day.
By car
40 minutes from Aomori Station.
