Sukayu Onsen

The representative hot spring is in the middle of the way from Aomori to Mount Hakkoda toward the south.

It is famous for its big bath which contains 1000 people, and Sukayu means strong acid hot spring.

It is easy to know the hot spring culture of the Northeastern region.

It is known for the heaviest snowfall area in Japan, whose most snowfall is 5 meters thick.

Many visitors have a one-day trip.

Bus services are available even in winter.

Access and Getting Around

By bus

1 hour 10 minutes from Aomori Station to Lake Towada with5 bus services per day.

About 1 hour from Shin Aomori Station with 3 bus services per day.

Night spenders are asked to make a reservation in advance.

A pick-up bus leaves at 8:50 a.m.

45 minutes from Aomori Station.
