- Historic Sites
Shikinaen is made as a villa of the Ryukyu kingdom in 1799, and is the garden
which was used to meet a messenger from China rest and to protect the royal families.
In addition to a Japanese style garden, it takes in the Chinese style including a hexagon temple
and the arched bridge of the Sinicism on the pond in Okinawa where there was much interchange with China.
