Itsukushima Shrine
厳島神社

  • Historic Sites

Itsukushima Shrine is famous for big red Torii which seems totally to float in the sea when the tide of the sea rises.

We cannot help being attracted by the solemn red wooden main shrine, the corridor,

the floor board without using any nails, the hanging lantern, the noh stage and the illuminations that are turned on

when the sun sets, which makes the mysterious scene.

It is a tourist attraction not to be able to miss once you come to Hiroshima.
