It is a light, two-hour trail around the Hachiman Marsh near the mountaintop.
The trail starts from the rest house which is accessible by car or bus.
Walking around the crater lakes in the forest and the bank of the marsh makes it various, wonderful route.
Especially, it is pleasant to see red leaves in fall. Seeing the lake takes 1 hour .
Access and Getting Around
By bus
1 hour 50 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes (different depending on the routes)
from Morioka Station to the Hachimantai Mountaintop bus terminal with 3 bus services per day.
2 hours 15 minutes from Tazawako Station to the Hachimantai Mountaintop bus terminal
with 2 bus services on Sundays or National Holydays.
By car
1 hour 40 minutes from Morioka Station, 2 hours from Tazawako Station.
