It is a town in the east of Nagano Prefecture from which views of the old castle, active volcano and beautiful scenes of Mount Asama can be seen. Walking in the castle and around the mountainous area is worth recommending.

1 hour 15 minutes from Tokyo to Sakudaira Station by the Hokuriku Shinkansen with 1 train per 30 minutes, 15 minutes to Komoro by the Koumi Line with 1 train per hour.
3 hours 30 minutes from Shinjuku Station in Tokyo with 10 buses per day.
