Kamakura Snow Festival:

Yokote City is located in the mountainous area in the south of Akita, which is a heavy snow area and where the heavier it snows the more cultures are remained. Especially, Kamakura Festival is a traditional winter event in the snowy area of Tohoku and Niigata.

By train

55 minutes from Akita Station to Yokote Station via the Ou Line, 1 hour 15 minutes from Morioka Station(via the Akita Shinkansen, transfer at Omagari Station) to Yokote Station.

By bus

7 hours 50 minutes from Tokyo to Yokote by night bus, 1 hour 30 minutes from Akita Station with 4 bus services per day, 2 hours 50 minutes from Sendai to Yokote, 2 bus services per day.

By car

50 minutes from Akita Station, 1 hour 30 minutes from Morioka Station.
