The Primitive Forest of Beeches:
It is located in the northeastern part of Aomori Prefecture, which is preserved as one of the famous primitive forests and is included in the World Natural Heritage List. There are so many huge trees of beech in the deep forest, yet tourists are not allowed to enter the forest for conservation of nature except some areas. But there are a few trails on which the forest can be observed. Don’t you want to enjoy walking in the forest? Snow is not thawed until the late spring, so period between July and October is the best. It is better to visit there by car.
Access and Getting Around
Because of its location between Aomori Prefecture and Akita Prefecture, there are many different tour plan depending on tour spots. Hirosaki City of Aomori Prefecture and Akita City of Akita Prefecture is the base of the tour. Refer to the reach way from Hirosaki, Aomori.
