Cycling is recommended to experience the scenery of this beautiful river and river bank

because there are some courses suitable for cycling from the upper side of the river to the lower basin.

A bicycle can be rented at Ekawasaki Station and the Tourism Association of Shimanto City,

a user can park the bicycle anywhere between two places.

Access and Getting Around

By train

1 hour 10 minutes from Uwajima Station to Ekawasaki Station with 9 trains per hour with more train services in a rush season.

By car

50 minutes from Uwajima Station, 1 hour from Nakamura Station in Shimanto City.

① From Ekawasaki Station to Ekawasaki Station

2-hour both way course: A route for experiencing the Shimanto River is enough.

A bicycle can be rented at Ekawasaki Station or Canoe Kan.

② From Ekawasaki Station to Shimanto Tourism Association

4-hour course: The course that some unique bridges over the river, the green forest,the midstream of the Shimanto River,

to the mouth of river can be enjoyed fully is popular.

The nearest station of the Tourism Association is Nakamura Station of the Tosa Kuroshi Line.
