Shimanami Kaido is a road of 70 km long crossing a few bridges in the Seto Inland Sea
from Onomichi City of Hiroshima Prefecture to Imabari City of Ehime Prefecture.
It plays a big role of not only linking Shikoku to Honshu but of a road for lives for the people on the way with the driveway,
the rotation road and the pedestrian.
In recent years, the cycling that crosses the bridges while going around islands is very popular.

Access and Getting Around
Because the whole road is long, staying overnight and having a leisure tour of cycling is recommended.
There are 14 rental bicycle centers along the road, and the drop-off after using is possible, it is very convenient.

Imabari City is the base of the Shikoku side of Shimanami Kaido,
and the cycling terminal is near the Itoyama Observatory, also you can rent a bicycle at Imabari Station.
