十津川温泉―熊野本宮大社

  • Outdoor Activities

It is a 15 km long route as a part of Kohechi Route passing over mountain passes, which takes 5 hours.

There is a village called “Hatenashi” the Village of the Heaven on the way,

you may feel the original scenery of mountain village of Japan while walking on the trail,

which may be called the Essence of the Kumano-kodo.

Totsugawa-mura is a village along a deep valley in the mountain.

The scenery of the mountain village since old days in Japan is still left here and staying a night is recommended

because the access is not good.

It is in the so deep mountain that a bus takes 6 hours as the longest bus route in Japan.

It has a history that villagers once moved to Hokkaido because of the repeated damages of floods.

People still are spirited. Wouldn’t you like to have a tour around beautiful Japan?
